OUR STORY
Founded in March of 2012 by Chase Cook. SMC Landcare started with Chase, a truck and a mower. In the spring of 2013 SMC hired their first employee, who is still with us today. From the first days of servicing residential properties, SMC quickly grew into the commercial and HOA maintenance industry. While we still take care a few residential properties, SMC has found a niche with HOA and Commercial maintenance. We bring knowledge and value to property management companies that want a full-service landscape contractor. From weekly routine maintenance to water management, irrigation, turf management and hardscape construction.
OUR TEAM
Chase Cook
Owner
Chase is a native of Frisco, Texas, where he began his lawn maintenance career in high school. He attended Texas Tech University with a focus in Plant and Soil Science. Chase has worked as the Assistant Grounds Keeper for the Frisco Rough Riders, a Double A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. He has also worked for multiple commercial landscape companies in DFW before starting SMC Landcare in 2012. Aside from having 20 years of experience in the landscape industry, Chase is also a licensed irrigator. He and his wife live in McKinney, TX, with their three kids.
Jake Tomlinson
General Manager
Jake grew up in Starkville, Mississippi, where from a very young age he developed a passion for both construction and landscaping. He attended Mississippi State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Management of Construction and Land Development. Jake has over 15 years of experience in the construction and landscape industries. He and his wife live in Frisco with their three kids.
Will Woods
Maintenance Division Manager
Will is from Olive Branch, Mississippi. He attended Mississippi State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy with an emphasis in Golf and Sports Turf Management. He has over 10 years of experience in collegiate athletic field maintenance. He has worked in the National Football League with the Tennessee Titans and Major League Baseball with the Texas Rangers. Will is also a licensed chemical applicator. He now resides in Midlothian, TX.
